ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. Pass in +2 with Physics, Chemistry Mathematics or equivalent vocational educational course and English as separate subjects.
  2. Minimum 50 % marks in English either in 10thor 12th or diploma or degree Examination.
  3. Passed 3 years Diploma with 60% marks or four years Degree including lateral entry, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
  4. The diploma / degree courses should be from any institute approved by AICTE or State board of Technical Education.
  5. Medical Fitness certificate issued by DGS approved doctors.
  6. Age: Maximum 35 years.
  7. Passport is mandatory for joining any Marine Courses.

 

 INSTRUCTION FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION

  1. Candidate shall submit the application form online only.
  2. Block your seat by paying the reservation amount through NEFT, which will be adjusted against your 1stinstallment course amount.

After making payment through NEFT mode, the banker will give you a Message User Reference called UTR Number. This UTR Number must be furnished by the candidate in the online application form.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM & ANNEXURE

  • An Annexure to the application is to be filled and submitted online by the candidate.
  • The candidate must take a print out of the application form alongwith the Annexure from their login mode.
  • Sign and send the same to the Institute directly along with copies of the required documents.
  • If the candidate is awaiting the results, Annexure can be submitted after the publication of results of degree examination and award of marks.

DULY ATTESTED COPY OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE ENCLOSED ALONG WITH THE ANNEXURE

  1. Higher Secondary & SSLC Mark Statement
  2. Consolidated Mark Sheet of Degree
  3. Provisional Certificate
  4. Conduct certificate issued by the college where you last studied
  5. Transfer Certificate issued by the college where you last studied
  6. Birth Certificate issued by any Government authorities

PROVISIONAL ADMISSION

  • Institute receives the Annexure which furnishes Degree marks along with copy of mark sheet.
  • Candidate will be provisionally selected based on his academic performance indicated by the Degree marks.
  • Selected candidate will be issued with a Provisional Admission Letter along with prospectus. The provisional admission will be intimated through E-mail.

Note: The date mentioned in the provisional admission letter is treated as the date of intimation.

 

 

MEDICAL EXAMINATION

  • Provisionally selected candidate must undergo medical examination by Directorate General of Shipping approved doctors.
  • Pay Rs.2,500/- directly to the Doctor towards medical examination charges.
  • The Doctor will inform the candidate as well as the Institute about his medical fitness.
  • If found fit, the Doctor will hand over the hard copies of the medical report to the candidate in a sealed envelope.
  • Candidate must submit the sealed envelope to the Institute positively at the time of admission.

PAYMENT OF FEES

On receipt of the Provisional Admission intimation, the candidate has to pay the course fees (as per fee structure) as mentioned in the provisional admission letter.

CONFIRMATION OF ADMISSION

Final Admission is subject to the following:

  • Payment of total fees.

  • Confirmation of eye sight by the Institute’s Ophthalmologist at Madurai (Second Eye Test).

  • Before commencement of the course, original documents are to be produced for verification. If not found in order, the admission stands cancelled.
