Description

This DGS approved course will enable the cadets to take up jobs on board ships as Electrical Officer.

The Duration of the course is 4 months. This training program prepares electrical/electronic engineers to be employed in merchant naval ships as Electrical Officer. The course is designed with practical demonstrations using simulators, audio visual aid and valuable hands on training

An ETO is responsible for the functioning and handling of all electrical equipment’s onboard a vessel such as maintenance of generators, deep freezers, air condition and total electrical system on deck, accommodation and engine room.

Pass in 10th Standard & 12th Standard from a recognized board.

AND

Pass 4 years BE/B.Tech Degree including Lateral Entry with 50% marks, in Electrical Engineering, EEE, ECE, Electronics and Telecommunication, or Electronics and Instrumentation, or equivalent. The candidate must have secured minimum 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th exams.

If a candidate could not secure 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th standard exams shall be eligible provided the candidates secures 50% in the degree exam and the medium of learning in degree was English.

OR

The Candidates who were admitted in Diploma  course on the basis of Matriculation only and went to complete their B.E./B.Tech degree course as a lateral entry in the 2nd year of the degree on the basis of Diploma, and has secured 50% marks, in Electrical Engineering, EEE, ECE, Electronics and Telecommunication or Electronics and Instrumentation, or equivalent. The candidate must have secured minimum 50% marks in English in 10th standard exams.

If a candidate could not secure 50% marks in English in 10th standard exams shall be eligible provided the candidates secures 60% in diploma or 50% in degree exam and the medium of learning in diploma or degree was English.

OR

Pass 3 years Diploma with 60% marks, in Electrical Engineering, EEE, ECE, Electronics and Telecommunication or Electronics and Instrumentation, or equivalent. The candidate must have secured minimum 50% marks in English in 10th standard exams.

If a candidate could not secure 50% marks in English in 10th standard exams shall be eligible provided the candidates secures 60% in diploma exam and the medium of learning in degree was English

Note: The Diploma or Degree courses must be recognized by any state or Central Government or the AICTE

Terms of refund:
In case a student, after completing the admission process and paying the 1st Semester / Instalment fee, decides to withdraw from the Institute, a part of the fee will be refunded. The amount refunded depends on the date of withdrawal by the student.

The refund policy is a follows:

Date of Withdrawal

Amount to be refunded

On or before the date of commencement

The fee paid less Rs.20,000/- towards administrative Charges.

On or after the date of commencement

Refund of Mess balance only

 

Candidates will be permitted to withdraw based on written request only, duly signed by the candidate and his/her parent or guardian; as the case may be.

In respect of refund policy, the decision of the institute is final and binding on the student.

Refunds will be made only after 30 days of his/her leaving the institute and submitting request in writing.

B.E/B.Tech in EE/EEE/ETE/ECE/EIE

Pass in +2 with PCM Diploma in EE/EEE/ETE/ECE/EIE

Medical Fitness Certificate issued by the DGS approved Doctors

4 Month Pre-Sea Training (ETO) including Basic Safety Training Course and Security Training Course at RLINS

Award of Certificate for 4 Months ETO Course by RLINS

(Institute responsibility ends with Award of Certificate)

Trainee Electrical Officer Onboard Ship (around 8 Months)

(Stipend 400 to 600 $)

Assistant Electrical Officer Onboard Ship (around 6 Months)

(Salary 900 to 1200$)

Electro Technical Officer Onboard Ship

(Salary 1650 to 3000$)

Pass 3 years Diploma with 60% marks or Pass 4 years BE/B.Tech Degree including Lateral Entry with 50% marks, in Electrical Engineering, EEE, ECE, Electronics and Telecommunication, or Electronics and Instrumentation, or equivalent. The candidate must have secured minimum 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th exams.

Maximum age should not exceed 35 years as on the date of commencement of course.

Physically fit and should meet the medical requirements as specified by DGS guidelines, eyesight 6/12 in each eye without visual aids. Maximum power permitted + 2.5. No colour blindness.
