R.L. Institute of Nautical Sciences conducted an Orientation and Safety Familiarization Programme for the GME and ETO August 2026 Batch on 8 August 2026. Admission letters were also issued to the newly admitted cadets, marking the formal commencement of their training journey at RLINS.

The programme was organized to familiarize the newly admitted cadets with the institute’s academic environment, training facilities, safety procedures, rules and regulations, and various aspects of their pre-sea training. The session also provided an opportunity for the cadets to understand the expectations and responsibilities associated with their professional maritime training.

The orientation marked the beginning of the cadets’ training journey at RLINS and helped them gain a better understanding of the structured training programme and the importance of discipline, safety, and professional conduct in the maritime industry.

Admission letters were also issued to the selected GME and ETO August 2026 Batch cadets as part of the admission process. The issuance of admission letters formally confirms their admission to the respective pre-sea training programmes at R.L. Institute of Nautical Sciences.

RLINS Signs MOU with Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital, Madurai on 02 April 2026

R.L. Institute of Nautical Sciences (RLINS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital, Madurai, on 02 April 2026. This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing healthcare support and well-being for RLINS students and staff.

As per the agreement, Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital will extend outpatient medical services to RLINS personnel on a concessional basis. Inpatient treatments will be facilitated through respective insurance providers, ensuring access to quality healthcare services when required.

The MOU also focuses on preventive healthcare and awareness initiatives. As part of this collaboration, an annual free medical camp will be organized for students and staff. Additionally, first aid training sessions will be conducted every year to promote emergency response awareness among students.

To further strengthen health awareness, online healthcare advisory sessions will be conducted periodically for RLINS employees, providing guidance and support on various medical concerns.
