This MoU covers all three major maritime programs
The collaboration enhances opportunities for cadet sponsorship, onboard training, and placement support.
Through this partnership, eligible cadets can access Marinetech sponsorship, along with valuable industry exposure and career guidance.

PROUD MOMENT FOR RLINS – Scholarship Award Achievement
We are proud to share that one of our GP Rating Cadet, Ms. Palak Chauhan, has been awarded a scholarship grant of ₹50,000 by the NMB Rehabilitation & Welfare Trust for Seamen, Mumbai, in recognition of securing 1st Rank in the General Purpose Rating (Female) July 2025-Dec 2025 Batch.
R.L. Institute of Nautical Sciences (RLINS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital, Madurai, on 02 April 2026. This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing healthcare support and well-being for RLINS students and staff.
As per the agreement, Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital will extend outpatient medical services to RLINS personnel on a concessional basis. Inpatient treatments will be facilitated through respective insurance providers, ensuring access to quality healthcare services when required.
The MOU also focuses on preventive healthcare and awareness initiatives. As part of this collaboration, an annual free medical camp will be organized for students and staff. Additionally, first aid training sessions will be conducted every year to promote emergency response awareness among students.
To further strengthen health awareness, online healthcare advisory sessions will be conducted periodically for RLINS employees, providing guidance and support on various medical concerns.
This partnership reflects RLINS’ commitment to student welfare, safety, and holistic development by ensuring access to reliable healthcare facilities and promoting a culture of well-being within the institution.
The cadets of the one-year Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) programme, March 2025 to March 2026 Batch, have successfully completed their training and proudly passed out from R.L. Institute of Nautical Sciences (RLINS), Madurai.
Throughout the course duration, the cadets underwent intensive training covering marine engineering systems, ship machinery operations, engine room management, and maritime safety practices. The programme effectively combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical experience, preparing them for successful careers in the Merchant Navy.
The Passing Out Ceremony was formally presented by the Principal, marking a proud and memorable milestone in the cadets’ journey and celebrating their dedication, discipline, and achievements.
The management, faculty, and staff of RLINS extend their heartfelt congratulations to all the cadets and wish them great success and smooth sailing in their future maritime careers.
